Is AT&T's restrictions with the Iphone giving competitors room to gain leverage?

there is much anticipation on how many people will leave AT&T for Verizon Wireless because of AT&T’s lagging on app restrictions like Slingplayer and Google Voice and Skype (on #g network, not Wi-Fi).

AT&T’s restrictions have caused the percentage of people that are JailBreaking their iPhones to rise since Jail Breaking usually comes with Cydia which is the app store for jail broken phones. Most of the applications, ringtones, and even iphone themes!…are free with Cydia. Winterboard is part of the download, and it very easily add’s the changes to your phone so you dont have to figure how to do it on your own…it is VERY automated.

The Palm Pre on Sprint and HTC EVO (Sprint now offering a 4G network) has made an attempt at being competitive with iPhone and Blackberry…and it seems they are making head way.

Is the Iphone coming to Verizon?

Lots of speculation is going around on the new iPhone 4g… in HD!! Official features have been revealed at the WWDC conference today. Verizon Wireless is currently testing aCDMA version of the iPhone 4G and Verizon confirms they are making network changes to bring the iphone to their network. The new iPhone 4g is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat, multi-tasking and extreme downloading. (List of possible features below). Just when you think there is nothing else to come up with, more and more and more technology comes out. And it is on the rise, and not just at Apple, Inc!

(AP Photo)June 16, 2010 -- The 600,000 iPhones have been pre-ordered and if you didn't get in on the first round, don't worry you aren't the only one. Yesterday the orders started coming in and the process of ordering had to be stopped as they were running out of machines. The snafu's for the iPhone 4 pre-orders were so severe everyone who wanted one were complaining, even celebrities in Hollywood who couldn't deal with the ordering process breaking down.



As you probably were aware, hundreds of people camped out at Apple Stores while others took to the Internet hoping to get one of the 600,000 once the machines were ready. In Los Angeles and other places people stood in line and really wanted for hours to get their new toy.

Sadly, this doesn't have a great ending. Not only doesn't the iPhone 4G not ship until July 14, the phone isn't going to be shipped to everyone. Instead Apple has pushed back the date and will be allowing more purchases sometime next month.
In Hollywood, it doesn't matter if you are a celebrity or not. When it comes to the iPhone 4G everyone will be waiting. However specific service providers are selling the iphone 4g in black only as June 24,2010.  So stay tuned.
